Open Audition Timeframe - Ballet Concerto is looking for professional and advanced female ballet dancers. Needed for Ballet Concerto's 31st annual outdoor Summer dance Concert June 27-30. Call 817-738-7915 for more information. (4/13)

August 4 - Ballet Ensemble of Texas Audition for 2013-2014 Season - 2 - 4pm. Ballet Academy Of Texas, 145 Fitness Court, Coppell, Texas 75019.
Requirements:
• Minimum Age 12 with 1 year of pointe (girls) to be considered for apprenticeship, 2 years pointe for company membership • Taking 4 or more Ballet classes per week • Evaluated for level 6 or above at the Ballet Academy of Texas • Available to rehearse on Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons August – May with some extra rehearsals as specified below:

• Monday, August 5th - Saturday, August 10th, 9:30am - 4pm: "Splendid Gershwin”, choreography by Fernando Bujones, to be staged by Orlando Molina • Monday, August 19th - Saturday, August 24th, 9:30am - 4pm: "Paquita", to be staged by Susan Jones, Ballet Master at American Ballet Theatre • Monday, December 30th - Saturday, January 4th - 10am - 6pm - "Firebird", choreography by George Skibine, to be staged by Thom Clower

Choreographic Fellowship Program for Aspiring Choreographers Ages 16-30
HOUSTON, TEXAS – March 26, 2013: Vitacca Productions & Company’s Choreographic Fellowship is unique for ambitious choreographer’s ages 16-30, offering a laboratory for new artistic talent to thrive. The Fellowship allows novice choreographers to enhance their creative skill set by working as Choreographic Apprentices under a professional choreographer throughout the creation process of a new work. The Choreographic Apprentice will document the artistic process through interviews, photos and a rehearsal reel. Vitacca P&C is currently accepting applications for the Choreographic Fellowship. To apply to become a 2013/14 season Choreographic Fellow or to find out more information visit vitacca.org. Applications and the application fee of $25 are due May 31, 2013.

This program allows the Choreographic Apprentice a professional and creative environment to:

Study choreography composition

Expand creative vocabulary

Network with industry professionals

Build personal resume

Propose new work for review/possible selection

Upon project completion, the Apprentice takes the platform to present their choreographic research for review and feedback. The Apprentice is awarded the chance to propose his/her own work for possible repertoire selection which will debut at Vitacca Productions & Company’s Dance Soiree: An Annual Artistic Celebration held each Spring.
